Our art gallery excursion

On the 25th of February we went on an excursion to the Gallery of modern art. We got there by a train. We went to the GOMA art gallery first and there were lots of Andy Warhol art. We saw portraits of famous people that Andy Warhol painted. We did lots of fun things there, but we had two activities that we really liked. One of them was called fifteen seconds of fame. You got to sit on a chair in front of the camera and you got to do something for fifteen seconds. Then you got to look at what you did in that fifteen seconds. After we did fifteen seconds in fame we went in a photo booth to have a photo taken of ourselves in Andy Warhol style. Next we got to go to this area where there were silver pillows that you were able to push up into the air. We only got 5 minutes to play in there because so many other people wanted a go. This area was called the Silver Factory. After we did everything in GOMA we had a break outside and then we went to the Queensland Art Gallery and saw lots of paintings and sculptures. There were also silver balls floating in very cold water and we got to push them around but they were very light so we could not kick them. We had lots of fun in both of the art galleries and we hope to come back again soon.
